team is back from the largest tournament in North America with a record of 2 wins 3 losses and a whole lot of memories,the Canada day tournament was a huge success for the spring program and with the Winter program starting in October and the addition of the Bay Area Super Series in May 2011 tournament with more exciting thing to come in 2011.


1- If there is an outdoor box in your community – use it!
2- Go to the nearest school and pass and catch against the wall (away from 
all windows)
3- Play catch at the park with a teammate, friend, parent, or sibling
4- Play catch in the backyard with a parent or sibling. If they do not have a stick, have them use a baseball glove and tennis ball.
5- Practice cradling in your bedroom or in front of the TV.
6- Same as above, but with your non-dominant hand.
7- Run around the block while cradling the ball.
8- Put a piece of tape on a chainlink fence and, using a tennis ball, shoot at it.
9- Work on loose balls in your backyard. If you can pick a ball up off of grass, you can doit on the concrete.
10- Place an obstacle in your backyard (pylon, lawn chair, garbage can, etc) and work on your one-on-one moves. For example, head fakes, shoulder fakes, stick fakes, change of pace, simple

In some of the biggest sport rivals games you will find the USA and Canada playing agents each other...is these the same situation some in Winnipeg are asking...last year in Calgary at the Canada day tournament the WEL Pee Wee team lost to the Cali lax all star team and this year they are looking to even up the score...the coaches know that it will be hard being that we are in their back yard...but are looking foward to the re-match .

To excel in any sport, athletes must develop and then continually practice various skills. Initially, athletes spend countless hours developing their physical, technical, and tactical skills required by their particular sport. Lacrosse players typically improve their physical and endurance; work on cradling, shooting and stick skills; and learn defensive and offensive strategies. After an athlete has become competent at these sorts of skills, performance in both practice and competition will be enhanced if psychological skills are used….
Effective use of psychological skills allows an athlete to better access the physical, technical, and tactical skills that he/she has spent years learning and perfecting. Although there are a multitude specialized psychological skills that athletes can learn, there are also many general things that athletes, coaches, and parents of athletes can do to enhance the psychological aspects of sport performance. Continual practice of the following tips will exert a positive impact on the performance of lacrosse players of all ages!

Geoff currently plays professionally for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League and the Toronto Nationals of Major League Lacrosse and playing for the Canadian National team in 2010 world field lacrosse.

Box Lacrosse Players in NCAA Div I Jumps 40%
Canadians playing Division I in 2010 will jump to 105 versus 75 in 2009. That’s a 40% jump in one year! The 2010 class includes 43 freshmen and suggests that it won’t be long before the number of Canadians playing in the NCAA Division I will soon top 150.
For those who followed this last year, you will recall that there were 153 Canadian’s playing in the NCAA in 2009 at the Division I, II and III levels. This number included 75 Canadians playing on Division I teams. Looking into 2010, with rosters yet to be finalized it is difficult to say exactly how large the Canadian contingent will be but at Division I the numbers appear to be up sharply. According to the most recent look at team websites the number of Canadians playing Division I in 2010 will jump to 105 versus 75 in 2009. That’s a 40% jump in one year!
